There’s five inches of heavy snow on the ground, the power has gone out, the roads haven’t been plowed, trees branches are falling, so why are people out driving? Here’s a pic from tonight on Twinbrook Parkway near Meadow Hall Road. It’s actually much brighter outside, despite the power outage, due to the reflection on the snow (but still, everyone get off the road and into someplace safe–your home, a restaurant, whatever).

In my Twinbrook neighborhood power went out Wednesday around 7 p.m. and came back after 3 p.m. the next day (Thursday, Jan. 27). That was longer than I expected power to be out.
Last year we had more snow and our power did not go out.
It was cold in the house (56 degrees), but it didn’t bother me as much as not being able to us the computer. For a while my telephone (land line) didn’t work.
Max, I posted some snow photos on my Facebook page. How do I post a photo on your website?
Alas, there’s no easy way to post your photos on someone else’s blog. However, if you use an online photo sharing site, such as Flickr or Picasa, you can post a link to your photos in the comments.
